Here is my own promotional artwork for the new graphic novel "The Shadow Hero" by the amazing team of writer Gene Luen Yang and illustrator extraordinaire Sonny Liew, and published by First Second books. The story of the Green Turtle is a fascinating one. He was considered the very first Asian-American superhero on the comic book page, but sadly back in the 1940's race was an issue. His ethnicity was kept hidden. Gene and Sonny bring this amazing hero back to modern audiences in full blazing glory revealing his mysterious origins.
