This is one of the first watercolors I did a few years ago. I really liked this one, but then I got overconfident and the next group of paintings failed....:(

This one is my largest paintings at two feet long.

I want to redo it to tweak out the characters more...and make the Emerald City much more dynamic and vast looking....it seems a little stationary to me.

No no no you don't need to tweak! =P I think it's fantastic as it is, anyway. You've really captured the spirit of the story (I've always loved it). The composition is interesting and makes you feel very close to the characters and the action.

LOVE the way you twisted the background, and the way you place the viewer behind the Tin man, makin' the composition extremely dinamic. Not to mention the superb design of the characters!! My hat goes off to you, sir!!

These two Oz pieces you've posted are so bloody wonderful. Wonderful enough that I used the colloquialism 'bloody'! They completely remind me of my younger days reading A.A.Milne and Golden Books.

I'm going to go get a sippy cup of appa juice and sit here staring at this piece for hours.
