Barbarian's Wrath by RobbVision Barbarian's Wrath by RobbVision
Here is a fanboy painting. I love CONAN and everything Robert E. Howard! I hope this one is not too violent for the kids!

Oh wow, this rocks! It's seriously cool that you managed to do all the classic Frazetta tropes - Conan cleaves through his foes, bad guys falling backwards, very underdressed lady - without doing the Frazetta triangle composition. And motion, with Conan charging forwards rather than standing there being grim!

I have Solomon Kane at home that I have not read yet. I love that guy, more of a darker hero...but he is super religious...weird huh?

Cool, I've heard about Solomon Kane! Haven't read it though. It should be good, gonna check to see if my local sci-fi and fantasy bookstore has it :) Yeah it's weird considering REH was pretty much an atheist, huh?

He was a unique guy. When you get a chance, watch "the Whole wide world" starring Renee Zellwiger. It looks like a "chick-flick" romance movie but it is all about REH and his relationship with his girlfriend who was a schoolteacher. The movie covers his death as well. Very sad, but you get a feeling of how eccentric he was! I actually got the movie for Christmas as a gift.

Soloman is as badass as Conan, but more of a "thinking" reserved man than a wild beer drinking, womanizing, warrior.

Thats awesome man, will look into it immediately! Sound very interesting! Didn't even know they made a movie about him. Thanks for telling me about it. Since I think that Conan was quite intelligent and an "anomaly" compared to other Cimmerians who prefered to stay in their hills and mountains then Soloman must be really intelligent. :)

you have a good point, plus Conan always finds his way out of problems as well as defeating "genius" sorcerers.

the movie abut REH is more of a slower paced romance film, but it is very interesting.

To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women.

...and Twix, Slurpees and boobs.
Facts.

Me and a coworker recite that almost everyday. We always talk about reminding each other of the "Riddle of Steel". I will point to my pencil and say, "This.....you can trust."

I always loved the way Subotai introduced himself as 'Thief' first and 'Archer' second.

That is a beautiful painting. I really like the blunt motion sense of the characters, reminiscent of Frank Frazetta's work. I also really like how the lighning wit a bit if subtlelty guides us to the focal point of the painting, Conan, the cornerstone over which everything manly stands. Awesome painting.

This might be my single favorite piece of yours. Or at least I'd put it in my top 3. I LOVE how unapologetically gratuitous it is, with all the violence and that girl's butt up in the air! Haha! You are indeed a man after my own heart.

that game looks so awesome...violent too. i'm praying that they make a new Conan movie that is closer to the books and comics. I heard at one time that the Rock would be playing Conan. He is actually a better likeness to the darker complected Conan than Arnie.....

yea, well in the game Ron Perlman(Hellboy) plays the voice of Conan and its very fitting he wouldn't be to bad either. but ya like the rock as the scorpion king reminds me of conan kinda

I forgot about the Scorpion king....I never saw that movie...maybe that's why it was a subliminal thought. Ron Perlman has a bad-ass voice. Coo lthat he voices both Conan and Hellboy!!!
